Frequently Asked Questions

We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, quality craftsmanship and want to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your KaBe Art Glass products.  If you have any questions that are not answered below, please feel free to contact us directly.

How is fused glass made? What is your process?

Simply put, we take large sheets of glass, cut it into our designs by stacking the pieces, place it into our kiln and fire for about 5 hours (from 1375-1600F). Once it cools down we take it out, clean it and glue on our bails. For a more detailed description see our process

I dropped my piece of KaBe Art Glass! Can it be fixed?

If it's a clean break (not too many pieces) we might be able to fuse it back together. It may not look exactly the same but it might be worth a try. If your piece shatters into a million pieces, then you can contact us to make you a new one.

How breakable/fragile is fused glass?

The glass is no more fragile than a good drinking glass, but no less fragile either. Things that would break a drinking glass will break a piece of fused glass, like dropping it on a hard surface, hitting it hard against another piece of glass, etc. Other than that, your piece of KaBe Art Glass should last forever! All of KaBe Art Glass products should be handled with care, but keep in mind they are surprisingly durable.

How do I clean my piece of KaBe Art Glass?

KaBe Art Glass jewellery can be washed gently with clear water if needed or just polish with a soft cloth (recommended). Serving Dishes & Plates can be hand-washed, but we do not recommend putting them in a dishwasher.

Can I place a custom order?

YES! We always welcome custom orders. Many of the products you see on our site are due to a successful custom order. People come to us with unique ideas all the time and we are usually up for the challenge! We can try new shapes, colours, designs etc. to try to bring your vision into light. Simply contact us to discuss.

What happens if I make a purchase (custom or otherwise) and I am not satisfied with my product?

We 100% stand behind the quality or our products. Each piece is handmade so the will not look factory/mass-made. With this in mind, if you are still unhappy, simply contact us to discuss a return or exchange (we will not be responsible for shipping charges). We will always do our best to ensure you are satisfied.

Do you ship to the US? How do you ensure your package arrives in one piece?

We will ship our product anywhere in the world! Glass of course is fragile, but we can bubble wrap and attempt to safely secure the package to the best of our ability. Once the package is in the hands of the shipper, we are no longer responsible for it. If you have any concerns about this, simply contact us to discuss. Most shipping companies offer optional insurance so please let us know when you place your order that you would like to inquire about it. Shipping and insurance costs vary depending on the size of your order so please contact us get an accurate cost estimate.
